Right at Home - Mrs. Malloy

Class Description

Projects will include looking at master artist's work and creating our own original works of art reflecting the elements of art and the principles of design we discover in artist's work. We will use a variety of media: pen, pencil, markers, colored pencils, oil pastels, soft pastels, watercolor and tempera paint. 3D projects will include wire, air-dry clay, paper,and found objects. Subject matter will include still life, landscape, animal portraits, and animals in their habitat,  portraits and figure drawings, architectural buildings, machines and  botanical subjects.

Instructor Bio

Mrs. Marcia Malloy has been teaching art since 1988, at Christian Assembly Academy, Dominion Christian School and for the last 17 years at Trinity Christian School in Fairfax. She has taught homeschool and private classes as well.   Her background includes a BA of Architecture  from VA Tech, classes at Rhode Island School of Design, NOVA, and the Torpedo Factory.

Mrs. Malloy and her husband live in Leesburg and attend  Free Life Church. They have 5 daughters,4 sons in laws,10 grandchildren, 5 chickens,and a dog.
